KISMET
means fate or destiny. To us, it’s the name of a place that somehow felt like it was always waiting to exist. A place built around the belief that the right people, ideas, experiences, and opportunities have a way of finding one another when there is room for them to meet.
Kismet is what happens in those intersections—between science and intuition, individuality and community, healing and play, the familiar and the unexpected. It’s discovering something you didn’t know you needed, meeting someone you might never have crossed paths with, or simply finding a space where you feel a little more like yourself.
Some of it is intentional. Some of it is serendipity.
We built the space for both.
ORIGIN STORY
IT STARTED AROUND A CAMPFIRE…
Kismet Collective began around a campfire, where three friends—Gracie Jamison, Michelle Sonnenfeld, and Amirha Lynch—found themselves talking about the kind of place they wished existed.
Coming from different backgrounds in therapy, business, and community-building, we kept circling back to the same things: people were lonely. Support was fragmented. Finding the right therapist, practitioner, resource, class, or community often meant knowing where to look, who to ask, and what you could afford. And so many of the spaces designed around “wellness” seemed to offer only one piece of what people actually need.
We wanted something different.
A place where mental health, creativity, movement, education, spirituality, play, and community didn’t have to exist in separate worlds. Where different perspectives and practices could live alongside one another without any single one being presented as the answer. Where people could come for support, stay for connection, stumble into something unexpected, and maybe meet exactly the person they needed to meet.
At some point around that fire, the conversation shifted from “Someone should create this” to “What if we did?”
THREE FOUNDERS— ONE BIG IDEA
Amirha was an integral part of Kismet’s earliest vision and co-founded the Collective alongside Gracie and Michelle. Each brought a different perspective to what Kismet could become and helped shape the values at its foundation: collaboration over competition, shared wisdom over hierarchy, curiosity over certainty, and the belief that belonging can be intentionally cultivated.
As the idea moved from campfire conversations to an actual business, Gracie and Michelle became Kismet’s owners and operators, taking on the work of building the physical space and carrying the Collective forward.
Kismet officially opened its doors in August 2025.
And then something happened that feels particularly fitting for a place called Kismet:
It stopped being just ours.
Practitioners brought their work. Facilitators brought ideas. Local businesses and organizations became collaborators. People walked through the doors for therapy, classes, workshops, free events, or simply because someone they trusted told them, “You would LOVE this place.”
The community began shaping Kismet right alongside us.
What started with three women around a campfire has become a multidisciplinary ecosystem of practitioners, facilitators, collaborators, and thousands of community members—all contributing something different to what Kismet is becoming.
We built the place we couldn’t find.
And we’re still discovering what it can become.
